8 of My Favorite Planners to Start 2018 Organized

I am 100% a planner person. I look forward to buying a new planner every January to start the New Year off. I also write down everything in my planner, even my work schedule that never changes. I see planners as an investment. You have to spend some money to get the one that is right for you, but in the end it is so helpful. So I rounded up 8 of my favorites for you to check out. (There’s a lot of black and gold on here.)

The Simple Polka Dot Planner

planner 1 (2)planner 2 (2)

I adore this planner. This is the one I bought to start the new year. It is spiraled bound which is amazing for planners. There are quotes at the beginning of each month, a overview calendar, and then a breakdown by day each month. It is the perfect planner.

Polka Dots but With the Words Best Day Ever Planner

I am a big fan of polka dots if you can’t tell, but I am also a fan of nice quotes. What better way to plan your year then reading the words best day ever every time you open it.

Pastel 2019 Planner

Rifle Paper Co is such an amazing company; I love their products. This 2019 planner is 17 months as well and so it will last for a year and a half! It also comes with stickers.

Floral 2019 Planner

Another Rifle Paper Co planner! This one is floral all the way around which is adorable. And they also have stickers in this one!

Gold Embroidered Planner

This planner offers the simple black and gold design that I love. Also another spiral bound which makes it so easy to flip pages.

A Too True Planner

A far too relatable planner. The pale color scheme is also very calming when you’re freaking out about planning.

Be True Planner

A nice combination of the gold I love and some gorgeous florals.

Starry Night Bright Dreams

It doesn’t show but this is also spiraled. But also, this comes in black and gold if you’re as obsessed with it as me.

Until next time,

Festive but Make It Goth

Similar 1,  Similar 2, Similar 3

I promise I have been dressing really festive for the past month, but this is the only outfit I have actually photographed for blogging. Sometimes you gotta be a Christmas goth though.

It is Christmas here in Savannah so everywhere is decorated really beautifully. But it also means I can wear short sleeves and skirts all the time.

I bought this shirt from a company Tees by Tash, but they have since closed down. So I have linked some similar ones above. Specifically similar 1 is a link to the same saying but in a sweatshirt version which works for colder places.

Also I like posting this right before Christmas because these shirts go on sale close to and after Christmas. I use this time to stock up on Christmas outfits for next year. Christmas is just my favorite holiday ever.

I paired this outfit with a circle skirt and thigh highs from h&m. Thigh highs are the perfect thing to make any outfit look badass as hell. And then of course heeled boots to make this outfit look super tough. Really perfect for a dark Christmas look.

Ways to Save at H&M

H&M has had really nice clothing lately. So I really splurged and you will see a lot of their clothes on my next couple blog posts. I bought this houndstooth skirt recently. Houndstooth is the perfect pattern for winter. And luckily H&M has a ton always.

Since H&M is on top of their style game always, here are some ways that they offer to save all year round.

Unidays is a website that understands that college students are broke. So if you have a college student email address, you can sign up on their website for discounts to various sites. When you online shop, they give you a unique discount code to apply in your cart. They offer 15% off for H&M orders.

Garment Reuse Program

H&M has an amazing program where they accept any condition of textiles to recycle. For every bag of clothes you donate, you get a 15% coupon for next time. Which is awesome, you get to get new clothes but also can get rid of the old things you do not need and they get recycled.

So hopefully this is helpful, because H&M is really winter style heaven.

New York City: Off the Beaten Museum Trail

I travel a lot. I love museums. So I have decided to talk about the various museums I go to on here. This blog is really just about what I feel like talking about at this point, but it works. It is a blog that totally encompasses me.

I recently traveled to New York City, which I do every other winter or so. So I have been to a lot of the regular New York museums. Obviously you have to go to the Metro Museum of Modern Art or whatever because it is New York vibes to the max.

grant 2

I decided to go to Grant’s National Memorial, which is something you should do if you have the chance. I have spoken about my love for Grant on here before. I will forever be screaming into the void that Grant deserves better. But his memorial is a lovely monument to him. It is kind of far from the city city but it is worth the drive. They have a small gift shop where they have a video about his life. The memorial focuses on Grant’s peacemaking policies and so it is peaceful and beautiful.

grant 1

The main point of this post was to express my never ending love for Ulysses S. Grant as most of my life ends up coming back to that.

But also Grant’s Memorial is right next to this lovely Riverside Church that I wandered into. It is a beautiful historic church built in 1930. The architecture is beautiful. Martin Luther King Jr. also gave a speech here in 1967. Also they have signs everywhere that all are welcome, and let me wander in with no purpose away from the cold. So great church.

There is also the Intrepid Museum around the same area, it is a sea, air, and space museum! But I was way too cold to make it there.

So here is my very small list of the museums/ historic places I went of the path for my very short New York trip this year. Hopefully I will be able to add more on my next trip to New York but also I will be doing more of these along my travels.

Until next time,

A Very Cyber Monday Outfit

Short Sleeve TurtleneckSkirtFleece Lined TightsBoots

It is Cyber Monday and I am posting this super late!

The short sleeved turtleneck that I have been obsessed lately went one sale! So originally it is only $13 but Target is doing buy one get one 60% off mix match clothes and shoes. You can get this lovely shirt in every color they sell it in as I did or you can get these awesome boots I am wearing in this picture. Or both. Target is also having 15% off site wide (with some restrictions.) And they do free two day shipping. What a time to be alive.

The skirt is one I bought at H&M a week or so ago. But now H&M is doing 35% off and free shipping site wide as well today.

I also paired it with fleece lined tights from Kohl’s and they have become my best friend in these cold months.

Until Next Time,

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are coming up this weekend! So here is your one stop place for all the sale listings! I will update this as more sales get announced.
Hopefully this helps with your sale shopping!

Forever Looking like a School Teacher

We are finally getting into Winter weather in Savannah. So I am still very committed to wearing skirts though and so I wear fleece lined tights. It is a really good compromise. Here are the ones I am wearing in this picture.

Also this target turtleneck in burgundy. It is a short sleeved turtleneck which is really hard to find! It is also only $13. Target also does free 2 day shipping. So I ordered this shirt online on Tuesday and got it on Friday, which is amazing!

It is boot season season! These are the boots I wear all winter basically every winter. I have had these particular boots for 4 years now. No issues or damage at all. They hold up really well.

I also paired it with this cardigan. Cardigans have been really helpful here because it is really cold in the morning and terribly hot afternoon. So I own this H&M cardigan is every color.
